Field Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Network Engineer to join our technical team in Vijayawada. In this role, you will be the face of our technical support, working directly on-site at client locations. Your primary responsibility will be deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure—specifically switches, routers, and firewalls—while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Deployment & Configuration: Hands-on installation and configuration of
- L2/L3 switches, routers, and network firewalls at client sites according to
- design specifications.
- On-Site Technical Support: Visit customer locations to troubleshoot and
- resolve network outages, performance degradation, or hardware/software
- issues.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform network upgrades, firmware patching, and
- configuration backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Customer Relationship Management: Interact professionally with clients,
- understand their technical issues, provide clear updates, and ensure
- successful resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of service visits, network diagrams,
- configuration changes, and customer sign-off
What We're Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Strong fundamental knowledge and practical skills in
- Routing and Switching (VLANs, STP, Routing Protocols like OSPF/BGP,
- Access Control Lists).
- Hardware Familiarity: Hands-on experience or strong theoretical
- understanding of configuring switches, routers, and firewalls (experience with
- brands like Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, or TP-Link is a major plus).
- Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose
- complex network issues under pressure.
- Field Readiness: Willingness to travel locally within Vijayawada and
- surrounding areas for on-site support. Must possess a valid driving license
- and personal vehicle.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with
- both technical teams and non-technical clients.
